2024 was arguably one of the best years in boxing for a very long time and the upward trend must continue in 2025.
We saw undisputed world title fights, stacked undercards, world class prospects emerging and top contenders being matched in various divisions.
Here are five boxing fights that need to happen in 2025 to make next year even better than this one.
Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua
The bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua should have happened a few years ago when both were at their peak.
If Turki Alalshikh was involved a little sooner we might have already seen one of the biggest fights in British boxing, especially when both were world champions.
However, 2025 could be the perfect time for Fury and Joshua to collide following their recent results.
Fury was beaten for a consecutive time by Usyk last Saturday while Joshua was knocked out in brutal fashion by Daniel Dubois in September.
Still, both are massive names in the UK and a fight could be the last lucrative payday they receive before retiring, particularly in the likelihood it takes place at Wembley Stadium.
35 and 36 respectively, Joshua and Fury both failed in their bid to become the best heavyweight of their generation after losing to Usyk.
But bragging rights remain on the line for the victor following several years of rivalry.
